so... here's the deal... it really has been quite a while (over a month, in fact). i'm terribly sorry for not posting for over a whole month, for all of you who truely care. i'm not really sure how long this could take, so... here goes:
first off... school: so, i started school this last tuesday, and it's not actually as bad as i thought it would be. it's my senior year, and i need quite a few credits to pass... plus i've failed a couple classes and need to retake them on top of all my senior classes... not only that, but a lot of the classes i've actually passed, i did so with pretty low grades... which means i absolutely HAVE to get good grades... so... aside from all that, i think i'm pretty good. but anyways, so far so good; granted i've only been for 4 days now. but anyways... onto the next subject. subject #2: so, i moved. i now no longer live in patoka, but i officially am currently inhabiting the great town of petersburg. yay!! w00t! blah... i guess it's not really that bad. i mean, it does have a couple restaraunts, and it even has a video gallery. so, it really isn't all that bad i guess. but it terribly sucks that gas prices have to be so high, because even though i've been staying in town with one of my friend's house (thanks adam), quite a bit there's also a good chance i will have to drive to school and back to my house quite a bit -when i do get my truck up and working again... which brings me to my next subject... my truck. subject #3: my truck isn't quite up and running right now. this really does suck. i wasnt able to go anywhere unless i borrowes somebody's vehicle... in which case, i usually was not covered on their insurance. not fun at all. hopefully though, here within the next couple weeks, it will be fixed. HOPEFULLY... if so, i will be able to go as i please (as long as i can keep gas in it... and a valid liscence plate). which, again, brings me to my next subject. subject #4: not only is my truck not working, but it doesnt even have a valid liscence plate!!! ugh!! but i'm pretty sure we're gonna get that problem fixed within this coming week. i surely do hope so. but anyways... i'm pretty sure that's all i have for now... so... i'll go ahead and leave u with this. hope u enjoy!!! :D!!! bye for now!

ok... so... cornerstone this year was really good, but i only got to go for a day. either way, i still had fun... we only got to see 8 bands (and i'm say only because this festival has over 350 bands that play within this week...) and when we got their and saw the latest schedule, we realized how many bands we had missed the day before... but anyways... it was pretty awesome, and i got to see as i lay dying... even though we got pushed back many many feet from where we were and didnt get to see them too well, but what i did see of them was pretty amazing... the chariot's lead singer was really strange... i didnt really like him too much, and they didnt really move around that much... but the music was good... every other band i saw was really good... maylene and the sons of disaster was better live... the were a lot heavier live... but anyways... im gonnna go ahead and go now, because i've pretty much ran out of things to talk about... so until next time... just so you know... im pretty pumped about the next post, but i cant really post about it until i get my pictures put on the computer... but you'll just have to wait, until like, sunday or monday, or something like that... bye for now

so... after reading over my last post, i realized that i had pretty much covered every day except for the day we left... nothing really happened that day, except for we went to an outlet mall on the way home. i did get a new watch. i got a fossil watch with three bands for it for about $50, so that wasnt a bad deal. umm.. thats about it for the gatlinburg trip... sorry for making you wait on the edge of your seats for all of this. but, anyways... camp: camp was pretty fun, and i met some new people, made some friends, and played some games, but to me the services were only ok. all the worship was the same every night. same song, same order... and the light shows... i mean come on! who needs a light show during worship. if anything, that only distract people from doing what they actually came went for. but anyways, other than the light shows and services, it was really fun. our team won 2 out of the 3 sports we played, even though we should have won that one too... we only lost by a point. i also played paintball, which i do every year i go to camp. they added some things to the field and all that good stuff. paintball was fun of course, but it's not too fun when you let a person shoot at you. i got hit twice on the back of my leg and once on my lower back... for no reason (except points for the team). other than that it was awesome.... paintball is always awesome. thats pretty much all i have to say about everything... umm... coming up next... cornerstone 06! (but only one day)

ok... so... its been quite a while since i last posted... but im pretty sure this one might be kinda long... (and it may even have pictures!!! yay!) but anyways... last week i went to gatlinburg and pigeon forge, and it was really awesome! so what im going to try to do is go through a day by day tour of what we did... we'll see how it goes.... day one: ok, well day one was kinda boring.. all that happened here is we traveled for about 7 or 8 hrs to get to the cabin... ugh... but when we got to the cabin it wasnt too bad... we got to sit around and relax for the rest of the night... and there was a hot tub, so that was always good... i sat in it almost everyday. :D
day two: so today i woke up at about 8:00 a.m., which believe it or not, it really wasnt that bad. once everybody got ready, we decided to go putt-putting... in which case Evan kicked all of our butts (and for all of u who dont know, evan is about 2 1/2 yrs. old!!)... after that, we went to eat at the hard rock café. I liked the food, and the place was really cool, and they had all kinds of music memorabilia. that was really awesome! After we all ate, and got stuffed, we went to ripley's aquarium! That was probably the coolest part of the trip. I had a blast, and amazingly got some really good pictures! After that we were all pretty worn out, so we got some ice cream and went back to the cabin, and relaxed... in the hot tub!
I got a really good picture of this jelly fish... (believe it or not... this is that picture!!)
So... this is a hammerhead shark, and... if you were wiling to break a rule of touching the sharks, and taking a chance of that thing never liking you again... you could reach, and therefore TOUCH a shark... (even though you werent allowed)
Now this, on the other hand, (a stingray, for those of you who dont know) you are allowed to touch... in which case, i have proof!! ( look up )
Ok... so... this isnt really a fish... but it is a really cool aquarium! and i was inside of it but i didnt get wet! how awesome is that!?
Day three: ok... so... i wake up again... at around the same time, maybe a little later. awesome! 2 days in a row that i wake up early! I'm am on a roll! Anyways... again, everybody got ready, and we were on our way. today (and by today i mean, day three of the trip) we went to the ripley's museum, which was really cool, but i didnt really get any pictures in there... and im not really sure why... *stops to think about that*... anyways, it was really cool, and next time I go back I'll actually get some pictures. After that, we went out to eat, and then we decided to go to the ripley's haunted mansion. that was pretty scary... (you can ask Bubby, i almost lost my arms because of him, granted he doesn't do the whole scary movies or anything, but he was squeezing my arms pretty tight.) im pretty sure you would think it was scary when u have a crazy la-la-ing girl chasing u down a really dark hallway! So... then we decided to do something even more scary than that, to me... that is: we went up into the mountains, on a tram... and im afraid of heights!! very scary to me...

so monday, my birthday, i went to see underoath! that was an amazing show... as cities burn was awesome too... but i got some pictures of both, which was pretty hard considering i had to get as close to the front as i could, because they have light shows, and my camera has trouble focusing with all the light changes, and while pushing my way up there i was getting kicked in the shins and headbutted in the back of my head, and when i finally got up there and took my camera out i almost lost it in the process of taking pictures, multiple times: with mosh pits, and crowd surfers, and flailing arms... it surely was interesting... but i would have to say... it was definitely worth it... that show was amazing! and even though i sweated about ten pounds off within that crowd, i had a blast! and im pretty sure so did everybody else, which is good. but anyways i'll leave everybody with some of my favorite pictures that i took.
this is one of the guitarists from as cities burn... he's pretty awesome!
this is the lead singer of as cities burn... he is also pretty awesome!
this is spencer from UnderOath... he's also pretty awesome! plus he has a cool new tattoo!
spencer again... only this time with the fans... and im ashamed to say that not one of those hands was mine... :(
this is timmy mctague... he is really cool too! and he does really cool tricks with his guitar! but im ashamed to say that i couldnt get any pictures of him doin any of those tricks.. :(

how many of you remember back in like 2nd grade when you used to play that game that when you and someone else would say the same exact thing at the same exact time? then you would say, "jinx!" and that person wasnt allowed to talk until somebody said your name 3 times in a row... well that fad is deffinately back again, but now its in high school. only we have some slight changes, because we dont ever remember there being consequences if the jinxed person talked... these are our 'new' rules...
1. you cannot jinx a person if you are both singing a song together...2. if you talk, you get punched in the arm by the person who jinxed you...3. you are allowed one, and only one, 'angry' word or phrase... this is to let some steam out because you realize that you probably wont be talking for quite a while...yea, sure its probably a little childish, but what do we care??? were just that childish ourselves... but i just wanted to leave you guys with a little anecdote about me... so i hope you enjoyed it... love to all... and i'll see you (or at least let you read my blog) people later

ok... so i told you i would get back to you guys ASAP... well its not quite ASAP, but im here. sorry you had to wait so long for me to post, but, well, i dont really have any excuses
so last post i told you i would update you on what happened the weekend before. so i will update you: Date:2/10-11/06- so on these 2 days i went with the first general babtist church to st. louis on a 'retreat' type thing, i guess, called dare 2 share i left on the bus and noon on the tenth from school... i got to get out early. yay! the ride up there, and everywhere we went on the bus for that matter, was deffinately interesting... just imagine every single camp song ever thought of being sung at the top of about 35 or so kids' lungs, (note that there were about 40-50 kids that went), and every now and then, in between each song hearing "we are going to pump *clap* you up!" it was deffinately nothing i was ever used to... but it was fun. honestly it was a lot of fun, and i would probably do it again if i was invited again. so, when we got to where we were goin, and got everything unpacked at the church we were staying at, we played some very small version of arena football in the gym... the gym was the size of a basketball court, so it only took like 2 passes to get a touchdown. it was pretty easy to score... but it was enjoyable... i just stood in the corner and they threw it to me almost every time... i also caught it... almost every time... i guess thats all that counts. eventually we had to go to the service, which was held in the (insert name here) hockey dome: home of the blues. it took forever to get inside because there were people everywhere... im pretty sure they said there was like 9,000 people there, and we were never the first ones there. when we got inside they were selling concessions. they all looked good (they we even selling steak) but it was a huge amount of money that i didnt have for any of it. a bottled water costs $4.... yea right! so... the speaker was good, the music was good, the food was expensive as crap, so for the most part the whole trip was good... it was fun... it really was. i really enjoyed it. so now i think my post is over. sorry it took so long to get back to you... i guess im just that lazy. but here it is... i hope you enjoyed it

ok so last time i posted i mentioned, "more after the game." well its after the game... actually a week after the game, and even after the pro- bowl. so, just my thoughts on the super bowl: i'm glad the team i picked to win did... of course i chose the steelers after the playoffs because both my teams were out already. but this was one of the few calls i got right in the playoffs this year. but it is the most important of them all, even though it was pretty obvious for most people who would win. but im gonna go now, because i am really tired and had somewhat of a long weekend (i'll post on it ASAP), so i'll talk to you guys another time here in the near future...

if u couldn't tell, the title was mixed emotions... im am happy that the super bowl is here. im sad that neither of my teams made it. im confused as to why the colts couldnt even get goin. im... out of emotions i think. but yea... so go team (im undecided but leaning towards steelers i think.) but im gonna go now... with a sad face :( i say... until next time.

a sad ending it was for the colts this year (again!!!!) as sad as i am to see them lose, i must say, that was THE single most intense game i have ever seen in the football league! i mean, there i just no way to describe it. the colts almost came back, and when the get a chance... vanderjagt, supposedly one of the best kickers in the league- especially at home (he had never missed a kick at home this season)- missed probably one of the biggest field oppurtunities in his whole career as of yet. that was amazingly close (well not the field goal of course), but it was a good game. now all i can hope for is that the panthers make it...
